Welcome Party, Dinner & Silent Auction Arrive onto Tybee Island and reset your clocks and watches to Tybee Time! Between 6:30 and 7:00 PM a Victorian trolley will come and pick you up at your personal Tybee retreats and will transport you to the world of BeBe, Weezie and Margaritaville. Dance to Kristy and Ramona’s terrific music while sipping Margaritas and later dining on a fun and delectable dinner. Get to know your new friends. Ms. Mary Kay Andrews, famous author of best-selling novels, including Savannah Breeze and Deep Dish, will personally meet and greet you and she’ll give us some insight into her new book coming out in the Spring. Jeffrey, our very fabulous and handsome MC, will make introductions all-‘round and will conduct the interviews for our Ms. Savannah Breeze Queen contest being held Saturday night. We’ll auction off a few items for our favorite charities: St. Michael’s School and the Fresh Aire Home (who knows, Mary Kay may have a copy of her latest book and you could be the first to have it!!!). We will have design time with Jane Coslick, the designer for many of Tybee’s cottages. She has been featured in Savannah Magazine and Coastal Living. PLUS one item will be a character in Ms. Andrews’ next book based on the winner of this auction item!!! See your name immortalized in a Mary Kay Andrews’ book!!! Many of these auction items will be one-of-a-kind and you won’t want to miss bidding on them! At approximately 10:00 PM our trolley will take you back to your accommodations. |

Savannah Shopping & Junking Tour 9:00 AM Rise and shine and have a look at the ocean, or lounge around with your friends, but not too long. It’s time to get ready for the junking and power/shopping event! At 9:00 AM we’ll begin picking you up at your places of stay to take you to the favorite haunts of Weezie, BeBe and Mary Kay. Visit the true junk shops of Universal Trading and Jere’s Antiques, and/or indulge in the wonderful worlds of @ Home; the Paris Market; One Fish, Two Fish; and The Kitchen Shop. Sip on cocktails at some of the establishments and try out their appetizers. We’ll offer several different shopping excursions (you spoke, we listened!). For those wanting to have some “private” time on Tybee, an early trolley will return you to Tybee Island around 2:00. Those wanting to stay can enjoy lunch on their own, and then power shop some more. The trolley returns all to Tybee at 4:00 p.m. Optional event: On Saturday we will feature an optional luncheon at a private home on Forsyth Park in Savannah. This event was an absolute smash hit last year and you don’t want to miss it. You will stop and sip on mint juleps served on the veranda of the Metts-McNeal Mansion, an elegant 19th century home on lovely Forsyth Park. Afterward, you will retire to the Mansion’s charming dining room where you will enjoy a traditional southern meal from the kitchen of the Lady and Sons, Paula Deen’s famous restaurant. Sample such southern cuisine as fried chicken, homemade biscuits and cornbread, collard greens, sweet potatoes, butter beans, okra, macaroni and cheese—the list goes on and on. Price is $45 for all. (A minimum of 30 is needed for this event to take place.)

Good Gawdamighty Party In Your Nightie &
Queen Contest
The highlight of the evening will be the Ms. Savannah Breeze Queen contest. Watch our contestants saunter through the Nightie Competition and the Talent Competition. Don’t worry if you can’t sing—our MC will assist you with karaoke or lip-synching: you just provide the smaltz. Our panel of judges, Mary Kay and friends, will be given the tough task of choosing the Queen and her court. She will be crowned by last year’s Queen, Ms. Linda Carrne, and she’ll reign supreme on Tybee Island. At 10PM, the trolleys begin taking all back to their Island retreats.

The trolleys will follow behind as we pick up our guests for the parade. We’ll parade down Tybee Streets and “strut our stuff” and we’ll end up at a private Tybee home for brunch. After brunch we’ll travel to the Tybee shops, including Seaside Sisters, the big hit last year, where you can look and/or buy wonderful, sometimes eclectic, elegant, and whimsical gifts. Jewelry, paintings, sculptures, ornaments, fabric, one-of-a-kind items will delight you. For those leaving us, we say goodbye and wish for them many great memories of their fun and fabulous weekend. If you’re staying over, participate in our “dine-around” where we’ll present you with a list of wonderful restaurants. Simply choose—we’ll make the reservation and get you there on Tybee.
